On Monday, Maggie Sajak, daughter of host Pat Sajak, shared a snapshot of herself practicing a graceful walk in front of the famous wheel of Fortune Letter board in her Instagram Story. He captioned it, “Warm up for Wednesday.” Although there is a major change in staffing, Pat Sajak will host as usual.

Maggie had to fill in for White even before her father was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery to fix a blocked bowel In November 2019. Pat made it through the surgery and recovered, but White stepped in to host while he was gone. So who better for White than Pat's daughter who he dated the week before?
Magee spoke to Yahoo Entertainment in December 2021 about how she trained to fill in for White, whose job isn't as easy as it sounds. The TV veteran also visited her house the night before their first taping.
“She gave me a little tutorial, like the one on our refrigerator, of how to press the letters and how hard to press them,” Maggie said. “She was very kind to teach me, and you know, He also had a big job to do that week, filling in for my dad. So it was a new experience for both of us, and I'm really glad we were able to do this together.”
The younger Sajak said that her father was really proud of the work that he and White had done handling the show, and it really made a tough situation a little better.
Maggie said, “He was really happy that it was something we could keep in the family because it was a crazy time.” “I mean, you know, he had this emergency that happened and so much going on, so to be able to take it easy and keep it going. I think he's really was grateful.”
