TRAI Seeks Views on Use of Large Knowledge, AI for Improved Telecom Companies

Telecom regulator TRAI on Friday floated a session paper to hunt public views on the adoption of synthetic intelligence and large knowledge to enhance telecom companies and improve community securities and efficiencies. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in its session paper on “Leveraging synthetic intelligence and Large Knowledge within the telecommunication sector” has sought views on sectors the place current and future capabilities of the telecom networks can be utilized to leverage AI (synthetic intelligence) and BD (large knowledge).

The session paper follows a reference to the regulator from the Division of Telecom in June 2019 during which the division has sought suggestion from TRAI on leveraging AI and BD in a synchronised and efficient method to reinforce the general high quality of service, spectrum administration, community safety and reliability.

The regulator has sought opinion on dangers within the adoption of AI and BD, akin to unethical use, bias in knowledge and algorithms, privateness, mannequin instability, regulatory and authorized non-compliance, in addition to methods and mechanisms to mitigate dangers.
