White have been “awarded” with two Golden Raspberry Awards – aka the Razzies – which marked the first time in the group’s history that the band themselves had an award.
Andrew Dominik’s film, which led to the Razzies with eight nominations won Worst Picture of the Year along with Worst Screenplay for Dominic. The Razzies called the film “wrong, sexist and decadent” and said that it “shamelessly exploits the memory of the late Marilyn Monroe.”

The Razzie Awards, which honor the ugliest of the year, are announced ahead of the Oscars ceremony on Sunday. Incidentally, White Star Ana de Armas is up for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2023 Academy Awards.
Razzie organizers chastised themselves for nominating 12-year-old Ryan Kira Armstrong as the worst actress of the year. After “putting it through the cyberworld blender”, as he put it, they later removed it from the ballot and announced that new voting guidelines are being adopted that prevent any artist or filmmaker from being considered for a Razzie Award. So the Razzies replaced Armstrong with themselves “and won by a landslide.”
Tom Hanks was selected as the winner in two categories for his role in ElvisWorst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo for “Tom Hanks and His Latex-Laden Face (And That Ludicrous Accent)”. ,Elvis is above for eight oscars in Sunday’s awards, including best makeup and hairstyling.)

In more positive news, Colin Farrell was named the recipient of this year’s Razzie Redeemer Award, given to “a former Razzie contender who reclaimed his wings and emerged from Razzie hell,” the most since 2004.
