Peacock has officially ordered Saint reunion film, once again starring Tony Shalhoub in the title role.

Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie Monk returns to solve one final, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding. Currently there is no word on seal Teamof Alona Tal, who appeared as Molly Saintwould reprise that role for the film.

“When producer Andy Breckman came to us with a new Saint A case set in the present day, we immediately fell in love with this story all over again,” said Michael Slouchan, EVP of Movies, Kids and Daytime Programming at NBCUniversal. “The film has the heart and humor of the original series with contemporary relevance, and we are thrilled to be working with the original creative team, including Andy, David Hoberman, Randy Zisk, the inimitable Tony Shalhoub and our colleagues at UCP. Mayur is sure to be a movie event for the peacetime audience.
Shalhoub informally announced that Saint Reunited on the latest episode of Dr. Loubna Hasaniyeh unheard stories youtube show, revealing that production would begin in May.
