Spieth has won the Tour 13 times in his career, most recently at last year's RBC Heritage. He has five top-10 finishes so far this season, including a T4 finish at the Masters and a runner-up finish in a playoff at the RBC Heritage last month. He missed the cut last week at Quail Hollow Club after a second round 77.

It is unclear whether Spieth will be able to participate in next week's PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
