The Los Angeles Angels are formally waiving the white flag.
They positioned beginning pitcher Lucas Giolito, relievers Matt Moore and Reynaldo López and outfielders Hunter Renfroe and Randal Grichuk on waivers Tuesday, ESPN’s Jeff Passan studies. The Angels obtained Giolito, López and Grichuk on the industry time limit so to make a playoff push and retain Shohei Ohtani within the offseason.
