Dubai’s Emaar Properties is conscious of a media report that its Group Chief Government Amit Jain has been detained in India, a spokesperson for the corporate mentioned on Saturday.
“Emaar is conscious of stories concerning the Group CEO Amit Jain, over a difficulty regarding the corporate’s work in India. The difficulty has now been resolved and we now have no additional feedback at the moment,” the spokesperson added.
Indian information company ANI reported Jain has been detained on arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Worldwide Airport on Friday and handed over to native police. The explanation for his detention was unclear.
Emaar, builder of the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, is Dubai’s largest listed developer. The Dubai authorities owns a minority stake within the developer via its sovereign wealth fund.
Dubai’s authorities media workplace and the UAE overseas ministry didn’t instantly reply to questions on the ANI report.
