The Dallas Cowboys lost a major cog in their offense when running back Tony Pollard left Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game in the first half with an.
Pollard was taken to the locker room with his leg in an air cast and did not return in theto the San Francisco 49ers.

Pollard is expected to need surgery, with a recovery time of approximately three months, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The injury could also spell the end of Pollard’s tenure with the Cowboys – after a season in which he rushed for more than 1,000 yards, scored 12 touchdowns and earned his first Pro Bowl nod.
Pollard, 25, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
