2023 NFL schedule: Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will host Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins in Germany

Tyreek Hill's return to Arrowhead Stadium will have to wait at least another season.

The NFL announced Wednesday morning that the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Miami Dolphins Germany in 2023. The Chiefs had long been scheduled for a game in Frankfurt and the Dolphins were revealed as the opponent on Wednesday morning.

Hill, Kansas City's longtime star receiver, was traded to Miami ahead of the 2022 season. He spent six seasons in Kansas City and made the Pro Bowl in each of those seasons and was a first team -Pro in three of them. He made the All-Pro team for the fourth time and the Pro Bowl for the seventh time in 2022, when he had a career-high 1.710 receiving yards with the Dolphins.

The Chiefs will host the Dolphins during Week 9 on November 5th at 9:30PM ET. This matchup is the marquee game of the NFL's five-game international slate. The second game in Frankfurt is a week later when the play the Patriots on November 12 at the same time.

The Jaguars are part of two of the three games in London. The Atlanta Falcons play the Jaguars on October 1st and the Jaguars remain in to play the Buffalo Bills the following week. The Falcons and Jaguars will play at while the Jaguars and Bills will play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Ravens and Titans will then play at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 15 October. All NFL games in London also start at 9:30am ET.

The five games announced Wednesday are the first of five games to be played outside the United States during the 2023 NFL season. Other major games will be announced at various points on Wednesday and during the first half of the day on Thursday before the entire NFL schedule is announced on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
